Leupold – America’s Optics Authority

They get up early, put in a full day and do things others don’t do anymore. It’s not just a job, it’s a way of life. There are 700 employees at Leupold who are passionate, dedicated Americans. They put their heart and soul into something they are proud to build and people are proud to own. Leupold binoculars are some of the finest quality optics money can buy.

Leupold Yosemite Binoculars

Leupold binoculars are a high quality binocular. Leupold makes a midsized binocular called the Leupold Yosemite. They are much more comfortable to wear around the neck than the larger sized binoculars. The strap that comes with your Leupold purchase is also very comfortable. I love the eye relief adjustment on the Leupold binoculars for people who wear glasses.

Making memories

The plains states can easily be seen as a bland and boring drive with their elongated straight stretches and wide open spaces. But for those in the know, the Midwest is a uniquely beautiful expanse of farmlands and fun stopovers. Interstate 35 runs south from the Great Lakes to the Mexican border and passes cities packed with frontier heritage and fascinating finds. You won’t miss a thing as long as you bring your Leupold binoculars with you.

It’s the moment you’ve been waiting for

The skies are dusky grey. You’ve positioned yourself in your favorite hunting spot, perched high in your comfortable Ameristep tree stand and now you just have to wait. You know the deer will come because you’ve already scouted the area with your Moultrie Game Camera. You know the deer will be walking by because that’s what they do. You have the proof on film. We have the tools you need for a successful hunting season. Even if you didn’t hunt you can still sit quietly and watch the wildlife with you Leupold binoculars.

Spotting scopes for digiscoping

If you want use a spotting scope for a digiscoping system there are three main things to consider. The first is the quality of the optics system. The second is the diameter of the objective lens and the third is what type of ocular lens you want. The quality of your spotting scopes will make a difference in the quality of the  images you will produce. Essentially the bigger the diameter of the objective lens in the front of your spotting scope, the more light you are able to capture. The more light you are able to get onto your camera, the faster your shutter speed can be.  The faster your shutter speed, the more chance that you will get a sharp clear photo.

Are you ready for some football?

Finally! The NFL football season is here. Tailgating and football parties are back in full swing. If you’re lucky maybe you even have tickets to the game. Who’s your favorite team?  Going to a football game can be fun but unless you have the money you’ll end up in the nose bleed section. It’s always good to have a pair of Leupold binoculars handy so as not to miss any of the action.

When you need to magnify

If you’re a budding photographer or hunter or you just happen to have a house with a nice view and you’re looking for something a little more powerful than an average pair of binoculars for spotting stuff way off in the distance, you might want to consider something called a spotting scope.  Spotting scopes come in a variety of magnifications but they generally start around 15 or 16 times to around 60 times magnification. Whereas if you compare to binoculars, which are generally in the 7 to 12 times magnification range. So remember when working with the higher magnification you should use a spotting scope tripod to keep your spotting scope steady.

The view at Tern Lake

I’ll always remember when we were traveling from Seward Highway to the Sterling Highway along the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska. The view at Tern Lake was spectacular and impressive. The wonderful views were only enhanced with my Leupold binoculars. Even though the other side of the lake was quite some distance away, I felt I was right there with the wildlife. This area of Alaska is amazing and provides some of the best fishing around.

Synergy Built Binoculars

When it comes to quality binoculars you must consider Leupold binoculars. They are America’s optics authority. Leupold offers a wide range of compact and full-sized binoculars. I like the new BX-3 Mojave Series of Leupold Binoculars. They are rugged, waterproof, dependable and come with a limited lifetime warranty.  If you are a hunter or shooter or just like to zoom in real close, consider Leupold Binoculars.

We’d all like to call it home

Living in Maine gives us the opportunity to take day trips to some places you wouldn’t think of if you had to drive several hours to get there. Mount Vernon is one of those places we love to frequent. The town is located in the middle of the Belgrade Lakes region and has plenty of water nearby including Taylor Pond and Minnehonk Lake. Mostly Mount Vernon has been a farming community but it has always been a neighborly community as well. When you do go on those day trips don’t forget your binoculars, cameras and spotting scopes. You don’t want to miss a thing.
